How to Create Niche Business Social Networking Sites
By Jonathan Mac

Social networking is the buzz word in today’s Internet space. With lots and lots of people getting into Social networking everyday, many wise online marketers are creating their own websites. However, with many online marketers getting into networking, it is necessary to highlight your website to avoid getting lost in the crowd. For this you have to offer your users with something unique and useful.

Provide the users with interactive Softwares

Do you know the reason behind the huge popularity of the websites like myspace and face book? One of the reason is that they provide some interactive, useful social networking softwares. Unlike other softwares that needs to be downloaded to the users computer (which most of them do not prefer), these interactive softwares doesn’t need to be downloaded. These web based softwares are gaining popularity these days because of the ease of use. As there are no compatibility problems associated with these social networking softwares, anyone can use it.

Creating the software for your own Business Social Networking Website

When it comes to creating a social networking software, you will come up with a question “Should I Build my Own Social Networks Software?” Just keep reading on to find the answer. You can create the best, unique software for your website by yourself if:

1. You are a skilled programmer.
2. Have lots of time to spare to spend on researching the trends in the Social media.
3. Are able to identify the user needs and satisfy them

The users of any websites will become unpleasant if the site takes long time to load. Moreover, the error messages are the ones that make the users of your interactive website more irate. Once the error message shows up to any user of your website, they will never return back to your website. If you are a no vice programmer, trying to add or build social networking softwares, then your softwares will be more error prone. All of these factors will be rather overwhelming to you if you are not a skilled programmer. Yet creating your own social networking software for your website is not impossible.

Getting professional help for building Social Networking softwares

There is nothing to worry even if you don’t have the above said requirements for building the unique networking software. The professional web designers are capable of building unique softwares too. There are so many ready made softwares also. All you have to do is to pick the right one that best fulfils your customer requirements. Getting social networking softwares built through programmers has many advantages. It saves much of your time and money along with enabling you to offer the users of your website with some great interactive social networking software.

How Not to Annoy People When Social Networking - Or, How to Win Friends & Influence People!

How Not to Annoy People When Social Networking - Or, How to Win Friends & Influence People!
By Brigitte Mehr

Mike Dillard recently sent out an email recommending a YouTube video by his friend Perry Belcher. This is an excellent video that explains the etiquette of social networking.

The popular social networking sites are those such as Myspace, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Betternetworker. Hundreds of thousands of people ‘hang out’ at these sites on a daily basis and the temptation is to ‘pitch’ these people with your business in the hope that some may want to sign up to you. Wrong!! You continue to do this and the only reputation you will get is as a social bore and pariah who most people will want to ignore and warn their friends about. Your supply of invites will also dry up!

Social networking on the internet is like networking face to face at a party. You go to meet new people and make new friends, not to talk about what you do all day for a job. People go to parties to have fun and relax and forget about their day at work. However, if you meet new friends the conversation may eventually turn to what you do for a living then maybe it becomes ok to talk about it. Otherwise forget about it and have fun.

After the party some of your new friends may be invited to come to your house. When they get there they begin to see you as a person defined by what items you have there and how it is decorated. Your new friends will look at it and get an impression about you from it and they decide if they want to know more about you or not. Your online ‘home’ is your blog. Here you will probably have some photos or video, articles you like, links to other stuff you like and other people you like and of course your business will be featured here too. Your blog is a place online that defines you and if someone liked you enough to want to visit you here then this is an opportunity to have your business on show. This way it is not a direct pitch but rather a conscious choice of the visitor to find out more about you & what you do. If they like you then they may decide to join you - if they do not decide to do this then it really does not matter & you have not annoyed them in the process and they may remain your friend. Remember, that friends recommend friends & maybe somewhere down the line they may have another friend looking for something that you have and they recommend them back to you.

As you brand yourself on the internet and begin to interact with others remember that internet marketing is a community and names start to become familiar to you just as your name will become familiar to others. People will remember how you helped them or annoyed them!

We live in a world of total abundance where there is more than enough of everything to go around, the more we share and give the more we will receive. The more valuable we can make ourselves to others the more valuable we become and the by product from this is that the more successful we become. The more true friends we have in life the ‘richer’ we become.

So, take the emphasis off being selfishly successful with your business and put the emphasis onto what you have to offer and give to others without want and the success will effortlessly follow.

Social Marketing For Entrepreneurs - Powerful Social Networking …

Social Marketing For Entrepreneurs - Powerful Social Networking Insights For Any Product Or Service
By April Gregory

Social marketing on the internet continues to open new realms of possibilities for serious business owners on and off the web. Without question, the internet has created a global marketplace. The quest becomes how you will bring this global market into your world.

The reason I say “bring the global market into your world” is because there is so much noise, traffic and honking on the internet that if you followed half of everything that’s happening-you’ll be confused, lost and possible broke. If you do nothing, you lose out on hundreds of opportunities. Rule of thumb #1–”Do not chase after traffic. Find out where the traffic is going and go stand in from of it” [a quote from the article marketing guy, Jeff Herring] My top 3 spots for where traffic is going:

  1. Facebook-Facebook.com is a popular, free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook while he was a student at Harvard University (Wikipedia)
  2. Twitter- Twitter.com is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. (Wikipedia)
  3. Ezine Articles-Ezinearticles.com is the #1 article marketing directory on the web. You get to write your articles, submit them and kick back and enjoy the traffic.

Consider these amazing facts and numbers:

  1. Facebook. Don’t let the fact that Facebook was originally created for college grads fool you. Facebook has serious benefits and implications for business owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs. This highly successful online social networking platform boasts one hundred million registered members, and is growing at a rate of 225,000 per day. Analysts predict Facebook membership to be at 500 million by 2011. (Mari Smith)
  2. Twitter. Twitter may seem like a whole lot of nothing but hang around for a few months. Twitter had by one measure over 3 million accounts and, by another, well over 5 million visitors in September 2008, a fivefold increase in a month. (Wikipedia)
  3. EzineArticles.com. This user friendly article directory gets 15 million unique visitors a month. This popular directory allows authors in hundreds of niche fields to get massive levels of exposure in exchange for the submission of their quality content.

My personal testimony with EzineArticles–so far, I have only submitted 16 articles & have gotten 7 published and a request to be the marketing expert for a high traffic website. In addition, I receive a few inquiries a week regarding my services and I continue to meet new people everyday. So, you see it’s not a matter of whether you should get involved-it’s a matter of when and how.

The concept of social networking is used in many ways today. Some consider it as total fun while others consider them precious to get into some serious relationships. Social networking is actively used for business promotion too. Whatever the use may be, these unique websites have become a must have for every grown up human being.

The Concept

There are thousands of Social Networking websites that are available today. However, not all of them serve the same purpose. Some of those websites are dedicated to business networking and some others entirely for school and college buddies to stay in touch. Though all these websites differ in their mode of usage, all of them have the same concept - “active communication”. Let it be a website for dating, or a social network of professional businessmen, all these websites enable people to find more contacts and also to re-kindle old relationships.

The ease of use

Almost all the social networking websites follow the same procedures. After making a free registration, you will be able to put up your own customized profile. Once the profile page is setup, it’s time to gather friends. Getting friends in a social networking website is real fun and easy. You can search for new friends wherever you wish and also connect to your old friends and rekindle the relationships. Businessmen can find more people of the same interest and share ideas and thoughts. These crowded, popular websites are the excellent platforms for business promotion.

Creating your own social networking websites

With the increasing popularity of networking, many professional web designers are now designing social networking websites for personal and business purposes. You can create professional unique websites like MySpace and Facebook with the help of these networking web designers. As the saying goes, “Make new friends and keep the old”, creating your own social website will make it easy to find your old friends. In general, these popular websites are a great way to meet new people, make friends, and connect with people from your past. You can build relationships, build a reputation, or build a business with these websites.

If you are not into the world of Social Networking yet, you are missing a great part of your joyful life and successful business promotion.
